The Palacete Colonial was a pleasant surprise. It is a very modern hotel with upscale furnishings, facilities, and decor. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The central location between the old town and the train station is very convenient. The hotel has been restored to a high standard. The extra large bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are welcoming and friendly and made you feel at home immediately you arrive. The breakfast is great with lots of choice and good coffee and orange juice.

Fabulous location: Leon is a lovely small city I hadn't heard much about, but would love to visit again. The hotel staff were so helpful: we had accidentally left a bag behind at our previous stop (300 km away), and they handled phone calls to locate the bag and arranged a delivery company to bring it to us. Bedroom (in top floor) though modern, was really tastefully decorated, and ceiling had original wooden beams exposed. Delightful internal courtyard for breakfast. Hotel is on modern pedestrianised boulevard leading up to Old Town, including Gaudi's Casa Batlló at one end of the main street (very lively, good restaurants), leading up to magnificent Cathedral.

Fantastic boutique hotel in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk from the station and the city centre. Lovely big rooms with great facilities- and wonderful staff!

Walking distance from the station. Small hotel large rooms and very helpful staff. 10 minute walk to lots of restaurants. Definitely stay again.
