Friendly, efficient check in. Coffee machine and fridge available for use. The room was neat and tidy. The shower was brilliant. An excellent location. The bed was comfortable but very low to the ground - like a futon.

Great communication. Informed us in advance of a boiler/hot water problem and offered to rebook us into another hotel. We left an expensive pair of jeans in our room wardrobe and the owner kindly forwarded them to our hotel in Oviedo for us! Told us all about León and navigated us to wherever we wanted to go.

We were upgraded to a room with a terrace overlooking the street, which was lovely. It did get a bit noisy late at night when some revellers walked past, but was otherwise quiet. It's in a fabulous location, in the heart of the old city, so it didn't bother us. If you are after a dead quiet experience maybe go to the suburbs. The gentleman at the front desk (who spoke English) took so much time to mark up a map and explain the 'romantic' and more lively sides of the city on either sides of the hotel, as well as the location of the stunning cathedral, which was so close. There's also a little kitchen, with a toaster, microwave and fridge, where you can make a Nespresso or herbal tea. Shower is good too!
