Its a prison whats not to like. It offers the opportunity to sleep in a prison without going through the hassle of breaking laws, going through the judiciary process and being detained at someone elses pleasure 🙏 The staff we SUPER friendly and couldnt of been more pleasant. Breakfast was decent and remember its a HOSTEL not a luxury hotel , however its also a social place and i chatted with other guests.. its lovely to not be cowed by snobbery and for me it did the job as advertises. Its all you really need and i will be going back with friends and family to explore Leeuwarden a little more. Its a fair walk approx 15 mins to the centre but thats exercise ..

It is a unique experience to sleep in an old prison (cell). Staff was friendly, showers good and clean and all at a good location. Breakfast was good too.

It was a really good experience so far! I know that staying in a former prison could sound weird at first but it was a good experience. The rooms were modernised to be comfy while keeping the original aspect and details :)

Location was ideal, few minutes walk from the main street - shops etc. Bars and restaurants were very close also. Train and bus station was maybe 10/15 minute walk, there is also a bus stop directly outside that would bring you straight there.

It's an incredible experience. Authentic setting and atmosphere. Just unbelieveble! The rooms are very simple but comfortable. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The soundproofing is simply amazing. Toilets and showers are in perfect condition. Wonderful prison. I didn't want to dig down or crawl down a drainpipe to escape from it😆😆

The location was very cool! The hostel was modern and comfortable but did not obscure its origins as a prison facility.
