I was delivering Ireland Homes Interiors and Living magazines to Ballynahinch Castle for my wife, as my travel budget will not let me stay at the castle, Portfinn Lodge was perfectly comfortable, Clean and a lovely host, in the most beautiful of locations, the first thing I did when I got back home, was check dates for returning to Porfinn Lodge to explore this amazing part of Ireland further. Tips for other travellers Yes its called a B&B, but having breakfast as an option is better, I left at 4.30am, breakfast is served from 8am, why would I want to pay for breakfast? Those people who have 'complained' in the reviews about not knowing breakfast was extra, did you not read what you were paying for before you booked? Its like those who complain about easyjet and Ryanair, they want it all but focus on the price only when booking, if you buy the cheapest, there will most likely be add-ons, read, read, read and then book! And if you want it all (and can afford it) try Ballynahinch Castle!

A very nice and practical couple (host and hostess), available anytime. Good breakfast, lots of choices. Breakfastroom with a nice view and good atmosphere. Spacious room. Nice touch: received free upgrade because of long stay.

The Simple B&B, while a bit old-fashioned in style, offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are impeccably clean and cozy, and the views from our room were simply unbeatable. The breakfast spread was generous, with all the essentials provided. Plus, the reasonable price makes it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers.

Very quiet and charming place to enjoy some relaxation in an unusual location. Between the ocean and the mountain. The property is ideally located for hiking in the mountains. The staff is friendly and helpful. Warm water. Clean comfortable room at a very affordable price, delicious breakfast.

I recently stayed at this delightful accommodation and couldn't be more pleased with my experience! The location is truly great, providing easy access to nearby attractions while still feeling comfortable and inviting. The rooms were impeccably clean and cozy, offering an amazing view that made my stay even more special. What really stood out to me was the host—friendly and responsive, they went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. And let me tell you about the breakfast! It was of excellent quality and plentiful for the price, easily the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

I liked the location, and it was so scenic all around the area.It was close to the village with a restaurant and shop within walking distance. Breakfast was nice for an extra cost of 10-15 euros. Host was pleasant.

It was a very comfortable stay, location was excellent, breakfast was delicious (however I did not expect to pay an additional €15 daily for same). I was very pleased with my stay in Portfinn Lodge.
