Please note that Launceston Backpackers does not accept payments with American Express/Diners Club credit cards.Free WiFi vouchers are provided.Please note that there is a 1.5% charge when you pay with a Visa or Mastercard credit card.Please note that reception is open in Summer between 08:00-21:00. In winter reception is open between 08:00-11:00 and 15:00-19:00.Please note that dormitory beds only come with a fitted sheet, there is a $3.50 charge for bed linen hire. All other room types come with 2 free sheets and blankets.If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform Launceston Backpackers in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.Launceston Backpackers has 16 free car parking spaces which can be used depending on availability.Costumers have to show proof of double vaccination.

The accommodation is affordable and beds pretty comfortable. The rooms are a good size. Street parking is available if you are careful to take note of the parking restrictions that apply.

Massive kitchen with all the facilities you need - amazing! Big communal room to chill/work/chat. Good outdoor area. Good shower & toilets.

Classic hostel with a good vibe and great kitchen facilities. Nice flexible staff meant when we turned up a bit early we were allowed to check in as the room was ready no stress. We were also upgraded to a room with an ensuite, definitely more value for your money compared to two other places we stayed in Launceston!

Good location across from a park and close to the city. Beds are nice and firm. Staff were helpful when I arrived late. Everyone is quiet and respectful. It is really reasonably priced so for the price it is fine.

Huge hostel, the facilities are very nice and clean, the kitchen has everything you need to cook. The bed was really comfortable and there's plenty of storage in the room. The location is perfect.

We've stayed here a few times. It is excellent value. It is a backpackers, however the private rooms with ensuite are all you need for a weekend getaway.
