The best things are the location - overlooking and close to an excellent (turtle) beach, with a decent road from Port of Spain - and the friendly and chatty staff. The highlight was just walking to the beach at night and seeing 2 leatherbacks laying.

We enjoyed the owner giving us a tour of the place to ensure we got a good room... he and his mom made us feel at home... the most important thing.... we got a room on a budget, but service was top-notch!
