It was in the heart of Laon, short walk to the cathedral and superb restaurants. We were only there one night, I am happy to recommend the hotel.

Very good central location in this small, medieval town. Our host was friendly and efficient. The breakfast, typically French in that it was jams, croissants etc was plentiful and the coffee good.

Located 200m from the cathedral, and very close to restaurants and shops, this is an ancient building of character, proudly upholding the honour of a street that has otherwise been allowed to decline - such a shame in this historic centre. My room was a wood-beamed attic up several flights of wonderful creaky wooden stairs and opened into a complete apartment. Warm, clean and a very comfortable bed. Very friendly welcome and a good hearty breakfast and very helpful to a friend who came as breakfast guest, having seen I was in town from facebook. Recommend if you like character in historic towns. Parking is tricky so make sure you have disque bleu for the nearby square by the Hotel de Ville, but even that only last for 90 minutes. Ask for advice on parking - I forgot.

The room was at the top of the hotel with an amazing view. The manager was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable.

The hotel couldn't be better located & is one of the sadly disappearing small but somehow stylish genuinely French hotels. Beautiful (mainly) old building with quirky 70ies additions (breakfast room).
