It is a basic guesthouse, don’t expect too much (you can have a shower and sleep under a roof). The lady is nice, helpful, but speaks no English which makes it almost impossible to communicate. She helped us to get a ride back to Mestia - her son(?) took us back to the town for 50 GEL / each.

So, you just need to be aware that everywhere in Ushguli (at time of writing) is very basic. This place is in a great location right next to the ethnographic museum and the artist’s house and Monastery. Also be sure to try the restaurant owned by the host’s son (I think). It is called Stumari, wonderful views, very delicious food and you can pay by card which must be one of the only places in Ushguli where you can.
