Lovely staff, helpful and kind. Hotel looked really nice, relaxed, and interesting. Nice dinner. Parking easily available in carpark opposite although a bit pricey for overnight.

I recently stayed at Toll House Inn, which had a great location close to the city centre and canals. The hotel is situated in a historic building that's been nicely decorated, and the rooms are comfortable. However, the building's age was starting to show in some areas, giving it a slightly run-down feel. Unfortunately, the housekeeping could have been better - our room could have done with a bit more attention to detail. Brown scummy stuff around the shower panel, peeling paint etc. We also had a bit of a disturbance at 5am from gurgling water pipes in the next room, which wasn't ideal. On the plus side, the breakfast was nice, with a good selection of options. The staff were also lovely, friendly and welcoming. Overall, Toll House Inn has some great qualities, but could do with a bit of TLC to bring it up to scratch.

Great place to stay, central location, rooms are clean and comfortable staff are lovely food was great. Only small drawback is the limited parking but you can contact the hotel to try and reserve one of the 4 spaces they have at the back of the hotel which only cost £5 per day.

The room was clean and well appointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good and cooked to order which is an increasingly rare treat these days. The hotel is well located for exploring Lancaster and the wider region.

This place is excellent and I'll try here first if I get to visit Lancaster again. Staff all excellent, lovely cooked breakfast, bookable car parking worked well, and they did their best to accommodate an early arrival.

I couldn’t fault anything about my stay at the Toll House Inn. The staff were all friendly, breakfast was amazing & the little extra touches in the room (eye mask & ear plugs, home made biscuits etc) made it a very relaxing stay

I had booked a 'single' room with on suit fatalities, and quite frankly got a rabbit hutch for a room. Not even a chair to sit but a foot stool thoughtfully provided. Had the bed been a 'single' then more space would have been available, but the bed was a small double, giving little room to swing a cat around. The room was clean and air conditioned which was just as well because the room faced south and on a hot day would have been very warm i'm sure. As it was it was warm but it is only April, July-August would have been a different matter. The food in the restaurant was good though on the pricey side. The 'ale' on the bar was well kept. The serving staff were attentive and efficient. Breakfast was substantial and well cooked.
