The host is very nice and friendly. Welcomed on the dock on arrival. Showed places worth visiting location in the city center. I traveled all over the island.

I was absolutely blown away by the Wildebeeste workshop. First of all the pictures do not do this place Justice. It is a beautiful authentic swahili Mansion with lots of levels and private spaces. I absolutely loved the antiques in the building and the lovely courtyard that has a small fish pond. Sooo Much value for money and the Bed at the roof top perfect for star gazing in the night and daydreaming while viewing the ocean in the distance. It is located in the heart of the UNESCO heritage sight so one really gets a sense of the old town. Kahindi was very Gracious and welcoming! I've been to Lam a couple of times now and this is by far the best stay that I've experienced. Definitely coming back to Lamu because of this House! :D

We can highly recommend Wildebeeste Lamu to every traveller on a budget. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and arranged pick up for us from the airport. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was separate just outside our room. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, but also check out Mangrove restaurant at the waterfront for their chicken from the BBQ at night. Wildebeeste has a lovely rooftop and a garden with turtles wandering around. Great quality for this price!
