Apartment Overview

Kinneil Self Catering apartments are located in a property built by Clyde shipping magnate Captain W. Buchanan in 1885. To reflect his love of the sea, all apartments have panoramic views across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle and the Mainland beyond. Free on-site parking is also provided.
The Kinneil apartments are named after the paddle steamers owned by Captain Buchanan, and each offers use of garden overlooking the bay, and a lounge area with TV/DVD player. A full-size oven, microwave and fridge are featured in the fully equipped kitchens.
The property’s owners can arrange bike hire, maps for local walks and arrange transport from the ferry terminal. Native wildlife such as eagles, red deer and basking sharks can be spotted in the local area, as well as the occasional red squirrel.

Apartment Vesta is situated on the ground floor of the main house. This spacious apartment retains many original features, and is located on one side of the entrance. It has a breathtaking view over the bay from the living room and bedroom. It comprises a large living/dining room, a double bedroom with a queen-size bed, a kitchen with breakfast bar and a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. Apartment Vesta can accommodate a maximum of 2 people.

Apartment Eagle is one of the extension apartments located on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the bay. The apartment comprise a large open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen with breakfast bar, a three-piece bathroom suite, with a shower over the bath, and a large double bedroom. Apartment Eagle accommodates 2 people.

Apartment Petrel, located on the ground floor, features a balcony with a picturesque view over Lamlash Bay, an open-plan sitting/dining room, a kitchen with breakfast bar and a 3-piece bathroom.

Apartment Brodick Castle is the top floor apartment in the main house, which can accommodate 2 guests. There is a double bedroom, a living room, a large kitchen/diner, a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven and microwave, a bathroom with a three-piece suite, and an electric shower over the bath. Kindly note the accommodation is located on the second floor, and is accessible via stairs only, therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment. Pets cannot be accommodated in this apartment.

Fantastic location with beautiful views, the apartment was very clean with a balcony to enjoy the stunning sea view. The host was warm and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring Arran. Would definitely visit again and can highly recommend to all

This charming and historic house offers lovely apartments in a quiet and peaceful location with truly spectacular views of Holy Isle. The wonderful town of Lamlash is a marvellous base with much to see and do, charming cafes and a choice of places to eat. The host is a delightful lady who meets you on arrival and is so welcoming and helpful.
