Perfect place to chill out You will feel away from the beloved Douro area but still very closed by car throught lovely roads The owners are very discret so that you feel at home. We had the house above the river perfect fot two with everything you need for cooking and sleeping like babys with the river sound and thick stone walls...amazing! Opposite of the gate, there is a nice path along the river for walking jogging. Enjoy Quinta Reciaō like we did... Note that you will need a car as there is nothing ecxept peace walkable around.

We loved the location beside the river and we placed for visiting the Douro valley. The cottage was comfortable and private with everything we needed.

We loved everything! The area is so beautiful with flowers everywhere. We stayed in the home that originally belonged to Francesca's grandparents and has since been renovated. We had some lovely walks along the river (my husband even managed a swim, -10, after his jog) the wooden bridge, (my husband and son jogged much farther) and the road up to the village, Figueira, where we had coffee and pasteis da nata. There is a small grocery store here. 3 minutes by car, much longer by foot, but worth the walk. The hosts are lovely people, and we loved their dogs. They have a lovely veranda outside, where we spent a lot of time, enjoying the view, reading and eating. Thanks Enrico for all the history and your journey that you shared with us and of course the bottle of wine and local drink. Francesca, thanks for waiting up so late to welcome us and letting us stay later on the day we left. God bless you in all your ventures and your family. You work so hard! We will be back!

It is a real treasure even the owner, you must live it, book halfboard, One night not enough !!!!!!!!! easier ti find house if you call host, google maps drive you bad streets, not easy to drive on. Coming from the A24, take the exit which says “Lamego”. At the first and second roundabout tae the centre exit, at the third roundabout take the first exit which says “Quinta de Recião” (a slightly sloping rising). Continue that road and you will find more two signs. After the bridge you'll find Quinta de Recião. You also can follow the navigator system but it always ride you through bad roads.

It was a beautiful position and we loved listening to the river next to the house. The house was beautifully furnished and very clean with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Our hosts were there to welcome us and gave us great local information. We were there for three nights and just spent the days walking in the area which we really enjoyed. We loved the friendly dogs too. We highly recommend this place.

The house has all we needed, it was warm and well equipped. The location is fabulous, you can hike in nature right by the house.
