2 mins to the train station, very convenient! Super cozy, clean and tidy. Kitchenware is well equipped. Self check in but it is easy to follow the instructions. You can take the leisure walk along the seaside and enjoy the serenity. I would definitely recommend it if you want to escape from the tourists and expensive Lake Toya hotels.

It's just 5 minutes from the station (with the waiting of the traffic lights). A few seconds from the sea. The building was renovated quite recently, everything is pristine and very clean. You don't see the staff but they do a pretty good job.

Very nice place that combines the vibe of a traditional inn with modern sanitary Facilities Very clean and well equipped. Futons are very comfortable and had a great sleep. Sadly we only stayed for a night but would love to come again.

Friendly owner and staff. Overall, my friends and I had a fabulous stay there and kitchen is really well equipped! Many delightful surprises from the staff... : ) There was a nearby yakitori restaurant that served yummy grilled seafood as well as soba/ramen.

No breakfast option but a well equipped kitchen to prepare and eat meals. Location was excellent just 5 mins walk from Toya station.

The location is very good. It basically 1 min walking distance from the JR Toya station. You could easily find the bus go to Toyako onsen. It is unmanned hotel, so you need to do self-service. In case you have any issue, you could easily chat with the property online, they have a quick response. The communication is stratified. The room and other shared facilities are also quite clean and handy, you could find everything you need. The self-service for making the Futon bed is also an interesting experience for me. The Futon bed and linen provided in the room is also quite comfortable. You could also easily find drug store, convenience store like 7-11 nearby.

Finally a traditional Ryokan experience! The Guesthouse is located next to Toya-Station which is super practical and only a 3 minute walk. Rooms are very spacious and the AC works great. This Guesthouse is NOT located near Lake Toya, but we loved that. It's in the middle of a local neighbourhood and we enjoyed Amiya Izakaya every single day when we were there. The chef only speaks Japanese so he doesn't accept people he can't understand but that's totally okay since it is really only a neighbourhood Izakaya. If you prepare a little Japanese he might just let it slide! The shared bathroom was just as clean and spacious as the rooms, commodities included. The futons need to be prepared yourself but there is an explanation sheet included in the room. The Guesthouse is completely unmanned because Matsuyoshi-san is a rather old lady that runs it by herself. I met her cleaning the rooms while checking out and thanked her for the nice, comfortable experience. If you want to rest for a few days, please visit this guesthouse. Buses only go until 5pm so I suggest reserving and renting a car at Toya station, staff there is very helpful and nice. Nonbiri is also a very nice cafe near the guesthouse, I enjoyed the berry parfait there a lot! I hope to return next year to relive this nice experience again. Checking in-and-out was very straightforward despite the lack of staff. The room was decently spacious and had AC. Its very close to the station and there was information provided on the area, places for food, bus time table etc. Definitely would come here again rather than book in Toyako onsen. Value is not great but its still very affordable and convenient. You can even check in till midnight.
