So close to town, everything was walking distance— the lake, the shops and restaurants. Staff were lovely. We only stayed one night and left early the next day but it suited perfectly

Room was next door to shops and very close to lake. Room was clean and tidy, good hot water supply and pressure. Good free wifi and comfy beds

Returning costumers - we stayed there already in 2024. Perfect location, walking distance (5 minutes) to the gorgeous little church. There are plenty of restaurants near by to dine in or take-away. Good breakfast selection at Jack Rabbits - 10% discount when you stay at the Godley Hotel.

Inexpensive and reasonably comfortable. No air conditioning. It is on the side of the road, so if adverse to traffic noise, think twice. Also by car park for restaurants depending on which end you sleep.

I made a mistake in booking a standard room. Basic would be a better description. The room was small and cramped. It was located next to the guest laundry and a cleaners’ store so it was a bit noisy. There was also a lot of foot noise from upstairs rooms. The breakfast was good and the hotel is in a good location.
