This is a tidy, well-kept hostel at a good location and a low price for a very comfortable single bed room, linnen included. It was nice to have tea and coffee served at all times. Toilet and shower facilities are very good.

The staff are friendly especially Julia. The room I had was just as I needed for that time. Coffee and tea are available and some pastries in the dining table. Easy to book. Near the city center and train station. Bus stops also are within a few meters away.

Hostel Patria is what every traveler wants: a beautiful place to sleep, clean, quiet, relaxing, easily accessible, very close to the center of the beautiful city of Lahti (5-10' walk). Julia and Slava are friendly, kind and will help you with anything you need. There is always free coffee and cake on the table at the reception. I also really liked the posters in the hallway about old Finland. Hostel Patria is particularly convenient for an overnight stay (or overnight stays) for those coming from the North in order to catch the ferry to Germany (or elsewhere). In one hour you will be in Helsinki. Keep in mind that accommodation in the capital is quite a bit more expensive. I highly recommend it.

Excellent stay kind warm welcome so helpful tea coffee offered in arrival excellent room and comfortable bed super location 5 minutes from train station ! Perfect !!
