Hotel Overview

Tivoli Lagos is a 4-star hotel featuring spa facilities and a courtyard with swimming pool. It features an Algarve-themed décor and ambiance. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to its private Duna Beach Club on Meia Praia, from March to October.
All of the air-conditioned rooms at the Tivoli have a balcony and offer satellite TV and a minibar. Every room also features an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer.
Páteo Velho Restaurant has an outdoor grill and serves Portuguese cuisine on the terrace. Guests can enjoy an American-style breakfast in the Lacóbriga Restaurant.
The Fortress Ponta de Bandeira and the Church of Saint Anthony, in the center of Lagos, are less than a 15-minute walk from the Tivoli. The Ponta da Piedade caves, 1.6 km south of Lagos, are a short boat trip away.
The Duna beach club, set on 2 km of beach, has a large swimming pool with sunbathing area and a cocktail bar. It also offers a variety of water sports, including kite surfing and water skiing. The club is ideal for events, parties, gatherings and even beach weddings.

“Breakfast amazing but the rest needs work”

Our room smelled of damp. That’s what hit you as soon as you walked in. I know it’s a problem in the Algarve but black mould in the room should have been treated. The balcony door wouldn’t open and the porter said it was fine. After a night of little sleep due to the noise from the water pipes in the bathroom we went to the front desk. I played the recording to them and they sent a maintenance man who fixed the door and listened to the noise of the pipes that I’d recorded. He couldn’t do anything in our room as the noise didn’t occur when we ran the water. The noise continued on and off throughout the nights of our stay. As reception were so dismissive the first time, and we got no feed back as to a solution, we didn’t bother going back. We got very wet in the rain going to breakfast as no one had told us there was a longer route through the various hotel buildings. It isn’t a suitable route unless you can manage multiple stairs. The quickest route to breakfast was via the swimming pool area. The decking was broken in places and there were chipped tiles! This is dangerous and should be fixed. The bar was comfortable and some of the bar staff were friendly. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. There was lots of choice, a good atmosphere and lovely staff who cleared the tables and kept everything spotless.

The hotel is very big and works a lot on its looks and diversity in activities and locations that it has to offer. I do enjoy just walking around. The staff is very accommodating in case of a request and tries to help you to arrange for it, if it is possible. Very close to both the bus and train station, without having any sound troubles because of it.

The room was modern and clean, had AC and balcony, they also had two pools, a lovely garden with little turtles and koi fish, gym, fireplace lounge, a great buffet breakfast with so much variety, an Italian restaurant which served nice food.

Location is good. This is a big hotel, it takes up a whole block. It can be a little tricky to navigate these labyrinths and find your room. The room was newly renovated, good. Common areas and hallways looked a bit worn out. The swimming pool is much smaller than in the pictures :) But the breakfast was really great, I would be willing to stay here again because of that.

The location is perfect, near the marina and waterfront. Easy access to facilities. The room was very good, and both breakfast and dinner were great. Very good food.

Quite a unique facility. Older property, but ongoing renovations are done well. Welcoming atmosphere and good food. Many unique sitting areas. The one with the fireplace took the chill off from a rainy day. Central location to the old town and waterfront.
