Hotel Overview

Riomar is a recently-renovated hotel in central Lagos, only a 5-minute walk from a beach on the Atlantic. It features a bike rental to discover the surroundings and nearby golf facilities.
Opening out onto private balconies, air-conditioned rooms at Hotel Riomar are modern and functional. Each comes with satellite TV channels, a work station with desk and en suite bathrooms with bathtub.
Guests can taste local delicacies from Algarve’s Barlavento Region and some Mediterranean dishes at the restaurant of the hotel. They can also sample renowned Portuguese wines or borrow a book from the on-site library.
Many hiking opportunities can be enjoyed in the natural surroundings, starting from the impressive Ponta da Piedade. Facilities of the Riomar hotel also include a barber for men and a beautician parlour.

Great location in the heart of things. We were able to walk here from the rail station. The breakfast was good. All was clean and well tended. I appreciated the small balcony and thought the facilities were fantastic for the price. I had really expected the place to be run down but it wasn't.

So convenient for walking to the beach for a swim or kayaking and to restaurants and bars. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable room and useful balcony.

We arrived late to the hotel and were met by the lovely Syed Yasir. He made a cup of coffee for both of us and talked with us. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They even upgraded our room for us which was a lovely touch. It was really nice to be met with such kindness and hospitality.

Location is great! We are family of 4 and a baby, we paid equal or less than we would pay for a dormitory, but this comes with hotel extras (private room, wc and even breakfast). Stayed before one night before hiking and one night after, very satisfied for such price. I’d rate this stay at 7,5

This is was our 7th time staying at Riomar Hotel. Location is perfect! Close to the beach (10 min walk) and right in the middle of the city center-close to bars/shops and restaurants. Love that the rooms have balconies. We fell in love with the curtains in the room :-). Receptionist lady is really friendly. Hope to see her again next year :-). If not-we wish you a lovely retirement! Great that they have made improvement on the breakfast. They now also have sausages, scrambled eggs and different kind of breads.

Amazing hotel in the middle of old Lagos. A/C, hot breakfast, fresh towels and sheets daily. Easy to come and go from. Great and friendly staff.

Location, right in the centre ..... of all bars / cafés / ... so very noisy throughout the whole night :( Breakfast bar was good Lift was good, although I take the stairs Parking in front of the hotel > perfect

helpfull stuff, there was a place to put our bicycles in for the night and leave luggages for some time after checkout. the beds were comfy and there was a hot water in the bath and fridge in the room. The location was very convient, walking distance from the prom
