The breakfast and food were excellent! The owner speaks English and provides outstanding service going above and beyond to help with anything you need - whether it's arranging a taxi, transfers, fixing phone ;-) or offering advice about La Romana. Highly recommended!

- close to the beach - very nice and helpful staff , from the owner Giovanni to the kitchen ladies and security guy - quiet area - pool ,jacuzzi and a nice garden for relaxing - free parking spots

We used El Dorado for one night. it was a nice stay, Giovanni the GM was super friendly and also the staff. The hotel area is well protected and safe. The beach is not far with several restaurants and bars.

Breakfast was unbelievable! The homede pastries and our egg dishes (omelette and club sandwich) were absolutely delicious. We didn't arrive at our hotel until 2am and the security guard happily greeted us with our room keys and wifi. We checked in the next day with the hotel manager who was the sweetest and most kindest man. We were able to leave our luggage in storage while we walked down to the beachfront for a few drinks before heading to the cruise port. The hotel manager offered to call us a taxi and warned us about uber scammers. We did not use the taxi as it was 1hr 45,in wait however we did call the uber ... and he did try to scam us once he dropped us off at the cruise port claiming we had to pay him cash. (Even followed us to the terminal!) I would highly recommend this safe and clean hotel.
