The location is right at the top of the hill so perhaps not ideal if walking issues (unless you get a taxi). But it was great for centrality and closeness to the sights. The hotel is very rustic and has plenty of charm. Breakfast wasn’t included but the person checking us in gave some excellent suggestions on where to go.

Great location in a lovely town. The receptionist was very passionate about the hotel and town. He made many recommendations for our time there.

Good location to see the historical sites. Very old and interesting. Comfortable bed and bedding. Room 8 was very quiet. Heater supplied for colder weather. Lounge area. Friendly and informative host. Clean.

Room was clean and spacious. We sleep like a baby 🙂 The property has a beautiful indoor restaurant and something like a garden. The staff was very helpful although we arrive too late for hotel restaurant the manager suggested us where to go for the best experiences.

Very nice and warm welcome of the owner. Lovely setting in a historic building with a very quiet courtyard where you can enjoy good food and excellent coffee. Very nice room with wooden floor, roof and furniture. Definitely a very good place to discover La Orotava and surroundings.

What I liked was the very authentic feel to the hotel. Looking at previous reviews regarding the property I was intrigued by the look of the place with a lovely courtyard arrangement and unique, almost museum-like touches around the place. There was a suit of armour in the lounge area along with books on the local history. There was some beautiful wooden grand chairs in the walkways and a ornate chest outside in the hall. The room was very large and spacious and above the bed was a very historic mural - although it did have a skull in part of it which may have disturbed some users. There was a lovely rocking chair near the window which I took the opportunity to sit in whilst reading my book in the early morning light, and this was after having an excellent night's sleep in the very comfy bed.

The whole building is gorgeous. We were in Room 3 xx Unfortunately we had to leave a day early as we had a meal in a Chinese which made me ill.

Interior decorated in a colonial style. Very authentic. A very hospitable host and fantastic beef stakes at the restaurant downstairs.
