This was our second visit this year which says how much we enjoyed the first! Always a cheerful and friendly welcome from Madame. We had a large clean room with comfy beds. The shower room is an odd shape but a good size and also very clean. Breakfast was plentiful with excellent croissants, good baguette, jams, home made cake, fresh fruit and lots of coffee! We've been looking for Savinnieres wines for some time and it was quite by chance we found Domaine Gigou as a stopover on our way South so indulged in post breakfast wine tasting(!) and left with several cases. We can recommend B Le Restaurant and Le Relais de Ronsard, both a few mins by car. Thank you Domaine Gigou for a great overnighter and some fab wine. We hope to visit again next year.

A charming property in a quiet, rural location. This is an active, family-run vineyard. Ideal for us as a group of motorcycle travellers looking for somewhere quiet, and safe to store the bikes overnight. The room was large, with a nice bathroom, and a window that opened out onto a nice view of the village and fields beyond. The owner bought us a bottle of her own wine, which was a kind gesture and delicious too!

We wanted somewhere that was an easy three to four-hour motorcycle ride back to Caen so were lucky to have found this jewel in the crown. The wonderfully friendly and charming host Sylvia made us very welcome after a long ride, and being bikers it was nice to be able to park our bikes undercover. The room was very clean and pleasant with breakfast being one of the communal types with all sitting around a large table. We love that as it's fun to talk (ha! or try and talk if you can't speak a word of French!) to the other guests. The walk into town is fairly long but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes once you get there. All in, a lovely stopover.
