I had dinner and breakfast during my stay at Yuzuya Ryokan, and the food was incredible. The ingredients were top quality and super tasty. I highly recommend eating here! The location is superb and easy to get to via bus - being right beside the Yasaka Shrine further emphasises the traditional feel of the ryokan and its beauty.

This is indeed a traditional Japanese hotel, in every aspect - the bed (surprisingly, it was really comfortable), the shower (I had a hard time figuring out how to use it), and the breakfast (I tasted a variety of foods for the first time). The hotel service was courteous and the location was perfect.

If you want to dive into the depths of historical japaneses culture within a major city, then this ryokan is your chance. The price is high, but the experience is more than one could pay for.

The service, the space and food were amazing! And the bonus on top was that it was in the best location with restaurants along the street and the shrine right next door :)
