The room was very spacious e comfortable. Futon-style bed was surprisingly comfortable. Free onsen that allowed tattoos (no need for coverage) was a welcome bonus. Location is away from the hustle and bustle of Kyoto but that's what we wanted and there are plenty of public transportation available nearby (train and bus). Located in a residential area, we had the opportunity to see a bit of a local neighborhood, without the hordes of tourists. Staff was very polite and helpful and arranged for our luggage to be forwarded to our next destination in a quick and efficient way.

The location is centrally located to the train and bus station. You can definitely feel the coziness of Japan hospitality thru the friendly staff and the place itself.

Onsen was lovely. We didn’t use the restaurant so I can’t comment on that. In a quiet location but close enough to walk to bus or train station

Amazing place. Loved the hot baths and saunas - great to come back to those after a day of exploring Kyoto. We stayed in a traditional room which was a super experience for our family of 4. The restaurant was also excellent. Definitely a highlight of our Japan travels.

The hot spring bath was heavenly. The water helps soothe our aching legs from a whole day of sightseeing. Also love the tatami style room. We all slept well and it was a great experience for the kids. The breakfast was another authentic Japanese experience for us. Great food and unique spread of food items.

It was a short taxi ride from the train station, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we loved the full traditional Japanese experience.
