The location was convenient yet private..the outdoor private bath was awesome despite it is still winter.

We loved our stay here . The rooms were lovely especially the outdoor tub. It was like stepping back in time . We stayed in the family room which was two seperate rooms right above each other Both with outdoor hot tubs which our teenage kids loved . Great area close to trains , restaurants and walking distance to the markets and train station . Private and quiet. Pretty gardens . Hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to help us . They ordered us a large taxi to help us get to the bullet train station , and was very helpful showing us on the map how to get to different places around Kyoto . I would highly recommend this accomodation for an authentic feel of Japanese ryokan accomodation .

Everything about this stay was exceptional. The location is incredibly convenient, situated close to both the train station and the bus stop. The host was welcoming and exceptionally helpful throughout our visit. The property itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed, showcasing elegant transitional Japanese architecture. A standout feature of the room was the outdoor bathtub, which provided a truly unique and relaxing experience.

Yado Kiramachi captures your heart from the moment you walk through the door and see the garden. It has been a wonderful experience, the ryokan is beautiful and comfortable. The private onsen and shower on the terrace give you the feeling of being far away from the city buzz. Amazing experience overall, warm recommendation for anyone looking for an authentic stay in Kyoto.

a fantastic place to stay in downtown Kyoto! beautiful design, extremely comfortable, very good japanese Breakfast and the nicest staff! got a lovely welcome message from the manager and a complimentary Breakfast. i truly appreciated the flexibility of check in hours.. perfect cost/benefit ratio..will be coming back here on my next trip!
