“Nice ryokan with a reasonable price”

I really liked that there is inner Japanese garden - you can actually wake up and do some yoga/meditation looking at a real Japanese garden and feel zen! The price is very reasonable I think, and owners are very polite and nice to guests. I also liked onsen-style bathroom. Very relaxing :) Owners also provide some tea and sweets, which is a nice touch.

The service was excellent. Comfortable facilities and the host was very attentive. There is a bike shop around the corner where you can rent bikes for 2000 yen daily. We stayed for three nights and biked all three days. There is also a cafe with excellent coffee and breakfast right around the corner—a perfect way to start the day.

incredible value for the price! you get a central location to Kyoto. It is close to the main train station but also close to buses and metro if needed. the onsen is perfect and the vibe is very traditional Japanese. the owners are really nice. you can even use the washing machine if you need. great for backpackers that want a tradition Japanese experience.
