Lovely hotel and good location. The staff were friendly. We liked the concept of this modern hotel and noticed there were plenty of people who also enjoyed the ambience and spent time using the hotel’s facilities. There was a super breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I had an amazing stay in umekoji potel.spacious room with balcony,and they have the best shower gel ,that I loved so much, very nice shower ,beds are comfy,, location was good,staff are friendly, highly recommend this hotel

The room had great views of the park, and it was nice to hear children playing. It is a family hotel so lots of parents with young children. There was a local market on Saturday. Good temple nearby and close enough to Kyoto station to walk. The daily welcome drinks were a bonus, as you could end your day relaxing after a full day sightseeing.

The Hotel amenities were excellent, with complimentary drinks (inc alcohol) and snacks. We loved the music room, sento and rooftop. Close to train line and right next door to a beautiful park. The hotel restaurant served delicious food. For Japan, the room size was excellent and overall the hotel was closer to a 5 star hotel than a 3 star by Western standards.

Didn't have breakfast but went to the local Lawsons. Room size was great, beds were very comfortable and we had a small balcony, which was great. The free drinks from 15:00 - 22:00 were a real bonus. Great view from the roof top and great for train spotting the shinkansens. The onsen was great - I was always lucky enough to go in when it was always nearly empty.

We stayed in five different hotels in Japan, three of them were in Kyoto this hotel by far is the best staff location. Cleanliness will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we visit.

The property was in a prime location, and within walking distance to most places we wanted to see. Public transport in and around the Umekoji Patel, Was also easily available.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff in the hotel was extremely helpful and kind. The hotel amenities and complimentary drinks was a winner! The accommodation was conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood and only a quick bus and / or train ride to Kyoto station and Gion district.

The free drinks including alcoholic drinks and nuts available. I have never had this before. The room size was good. Clean and spacious. Having the table tennis and book area. All really good.
