It’s a fusion kind of feel, traditional Japanese look on the outside and modern inside. It’s rather close to the shopping belt and the Nishiki market - everyone is extremely helpful and friendly and speaks English. Has a washing machine in the room, which is very useful. There is also a microwave and an induction stove, very convenient to heat up food.

1. Theres a coffee/tea corner at the lobby and the tea are really good. We only try it on our last day and regret didnt try it sooner 2. I like the location. Not too far and still walking distance to the shopping street, bus and train 3. Hotel room is huge. Comes with pantry and sofa. Really comfortable 4. We book our dinner via Local Machiya and really love it. Highly recommended 5. Great traditional architecture with rooms facing courtyard

The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very cosy and comfortable. There is also ample space in the room for a few pieces of luggage and to move around. Even though we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door, the housekeeping staff had placed a bag of clean towels, bottles of water, new packets of coffee on our door handle everyday without fail. I find the service of this hotel exceptional, having visited a few other hotels in Japan. The staff was also very sincere in attending to us. There were some issues with our air-conditioning on one night. The staff acted promptly on our feedback and left a letter on our door after doing so as they didn't want to disturb our rest. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Hotel is so good with all the facilities you need. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Location is great, the train station is nearby and also Nishiki market. Room is neat and clean.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, very very spacious! Super clean and even when we put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, they left us everything including coffee and water outside the door. Free laundry washing facilities which was a bonus. Great location - would definitely stay again.
