-By taxi: Give the taxi driver the hotel's telephone number (provided in the booking confirmation). You will be dropped off in front of a butcher shop. Turn into the street at its right. The hotel is the third building on the left.
- By bus: Go to bus stop A2, and take bus 4, 17 or 205. Get off at Kawaramachi Matsubara. Walk into the street at the corner of the 'Daily' shop. After a few minutes, cross the bridge over Kamo River and continue in the same direction. At the butcher shop, turn left. The hotel is the third building on the left. The bus ride is approximately 7 minutes. From the bus stop to the hotel it's a 5-minute walk.An accommodation tax per person per night is not included in the price and needs to be paid at the property. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

The location was absolutely perfect and right in the middle of the old city, in the midst of beautiful traditional buildings. Value for money was great, and the room was comfortable and clean. The host is an absolute star and very welcoming!

Everything was fantastic at this place. It was a great experience to stay at a traditional Japanese house. The lady was super kind, she greeted us in front of the door, gave us some hot tea on arrival and some candy, along with two entrance tickets to a nearby temple. Another day, she left a bag of mandarines on our table, which were really tasty. The bathroom was clean, and she provided a hairdryer, toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste, q-tips, and mouthwash to both sides of the house.
