Hostel Overview

Reopened after renovations in March 2017, OYO旅館晴輝京都ステーション Kyoto is just a 3-minute walk from Hachijo East Exit of Kyoto Station. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. There is a kimono rental corner on the first floor.
Guest rooms have modern Japanese-style decor with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and are air conditioned. They are equipped with a private bathroom, TV, fridge and an electric kettle.
Seiki Ryokan has a non-smoking policy and offers luggage storage before check-in at the reception. Bus discount tickets and city maps are available at the reception. Property staff will assist guests in making travel and tour arrangements.
Station Ryokan Seiki is located close to shops and restaurants. The Nishi Hongan-ji Temple and the Kyoto National Museum are less than a kilometer away. To-ji Temple is an 11-minute walk from the property. Fushimi Inari-taisha is 15 minutes away via train and walk. A shopping mall is situated a 9-minute stroll away from the Hotel.

Pretty big room with a private bathroom for a fair price. Conveniently located at a few hundred meters from Kyoto station. You can leave your luggage in storage for no fee, very convenient for travellers. They spoke English at the front desk.

Fantastic value for money. It's located very near the station (South side however) and while lacking bells and whistles the room was great. It has a faux traditional Japanese (和室) style with fake tatami mats and windows decorated to look like washi. This is not a complaint, I really liked it. The staff were really friendly and if you're interested they also do kimono rentals etc. I didn't use the service but I should imagine it could really add to someone's experience of Kyoto.

Easily walkable distance to the station, shopping malls, and multiple convenience stores. Very cute, simple and charming room with tatami mats. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. The lighting in the bathroom was good for applying makeup and getting a proper good look at your face.

Near the main road, easy access to the nearest bus stop to go Gyon and near the Kyoto station. Have lift. Room size just nice, got space if the futons were folded. Futon and pillow was comfortable with thick duvet. toiletries and other equipments are provided such as hair dryer, small table and TV. Microwave and disposable cutleries provided. There was no common area. Can rent a kimono at shop below the hotel.

The japanese style of the room reminded us a classical Ryokan. Sleeping on a futon and tatami floor is a great experience. The location of the hotel is perfect because it allows to reach easily the subway and the train station.
