The room was absolutely beautiful and clean. The facilities were tidy and staff were very kind in accommodating us even though I could not speak Japanese well. The location is perfect for tourists as well.

Amazing hotel in Kyoto! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the room felt like a real slice of a traditional Japan. Tip if staying here most restaurants in Kyoto are reservation only but you can’t reserve most of them on google so we asked the staff if they could help find and book us a restaurant. They were so helpful and we had an amazing meal!

During our trip to Japan we really wanted to experience a ryokan to have the traditional experience. The room was really big, and the tatami mats and bedding was very comfortable. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We didn't opt for the meals, and they ended up being booked out when we stayed. It's great to have an onsen also.

It was lovely to have the Osen; we used it both nights. The room was reasonably spacious and I loved the living area off from the sleeping area. My sister loved the smoking area and meditative garden at the front of the hotel. The coffee and snacks in the front lounge were a nice touch. The staff were lovely and added to our stay. It is great value for money.
