Loved the open air Onsen on the roof - open until 1am and £1,000 for a totally private Onsen and private changing room. It was cloudy for us so no stars despite our midnight until 1am booking. They also give complimentary Yukatas to wear, and the garden is a nice place to sit and reflect, make plans for the future etc... We arrived quite late, stayed for 1 night and unfortunately, had to leave early. An excellent way to spend our 5 year anniversary, I would definitely recommend it for couples, very romantic!

Very hospitable experience. Courteous and helpful hosts, good location near the Philosopher'path, and easy to get to main Kyoto. They also have a small but very relaxing Japanese garden. Breakfast a bit pricey, but overall the stay was well worth it, and the open air moonlit hot tub not to be forgotten!

Brilliant property, loved the private bath on the roof and the garden to enjoy a peaceful moment. It was really clean and close to transport links as well as near good spots to visit.

Lovely hotel just outside central Kyoto. Great if you want a peaceful escape for a few nights. Loved the rooftop spa, bathroom and room was well decorated.

The open air bath was fantastic. The staff helped us when we left something at our previous hotel and they called them and arranged for us to go back and pick it up. It was also our anniversary and they surprised us with a cake.

Very clean place with everything you need. Friendly staff, beautiful outside garden, and overall has a very traditional feel for someone that wants to have a more Japanese experience. The location is also very peaceful.
