Close to Gion and many nice restaurants. Comfortable and spacious room for both tatami room and normal room. Enough for sleeping area and suitcases. Beds very comfortable . Bathroom spacious as well. 10 min walk to Shijo subway, 2 stops from Kyoto Station. Hotel offers laundry service at 13000 a basket. They were able to do it really quickly within 2 hours when I asked them at 7pm, as I needed to check out the next day

Excellent location, walking distance to the Shijo Station, Gion District, Nishiki Food Market and more. Very stylish, traditional rooms. Delightful experience.

Lovely atmosphere. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but blouse enough to walk to the main shopping and nightlife.

The staff were so incredibly helpful, the location was so close to the main shops, the food market and trains. Laura was a standout and she was such a helpful and warm and welcoming person at the front desk. They also recommend nice restaurants that they can book for you which was awesome. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

Very good Rykan style hotel with multilingual staff and good ammenities. Overall it is an excellent choise for those that would like to feel the Ryokan experience without having to pay large amounts of money for a traditional, "true" Ryokan

We loved our stay here! It was very close to the main strip and everything you needed. It looked traditional and added that little extra to the trip. The staff were incredible and you can reserve a private bath for 40mins for 500 yen.

The decor was very quaint and traditional but with all the required modcons. Rooms were spacious and well located for the centre of kyoto and staff very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

It' has a very traditional feel of the hotel which made the stay very nice. Staff were very kind and approachable. Japanese breakfast was satisfying too.

A lovely local hotel, small and traditional with very friendly and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. They helped us find somewhere local to eat as we arrived quite late in the evening, as nothing was available on site. Great location for exploring the local area.
