The owner, Aki, is kind and makes you feel very welcome. There is a hot/cold drinking water dispenser and a shared fridge for guests downstairs. We were able to leave our bags at reception whilst we explored the streets of Kyoto on the last day. Very safe neighbourhood.

Great location, close enough to all the key attractions but quiet and peaceful location. The owner is very friendly and gave us a map with all the best places to go The futons were a little uncomfy could be abit thicker had to use the spare bedding to provide some more padding Overall good experience for a couple of nights would recommend

Everything was amazing, the owner Aki is such a nice, friendly and helpful person, he wasn't there when I arrived but he later came to greet me, gave me a map with must-see things and was full of suggestions. The room was very clean, the futon was comfortable and I was able to sleep very well. I will definitely come here again when I come back to Japan, I really loved the homely and personal approach of the owner, definitely one of the best accommodations I've ever been to.

Excellent location, easy check in. Very friendly owner Room is small but comfortable and does the job, tatami is not real and futon a bit basic you cannot really complain given the price I would stay again.

Nice tatami rooms, only 3 tatami wide but enough to fit your things and a separate en suite bathroom. Not quite central but close enough to Kyoto station and sights. Friendly receptionist. Good price/quality ratio - a private room for the price of a mid range hostel.
