The owner is an old woman who is super kind and lovely. She waited for us until late at night even if she had to wake up earlier the next day. She prepared breakfast for us the whole stay. The house is super old style japanese and the futons were very comfortable. She also received us with delicious marcha and skauramochi. Thank you! Very convenient for catching buses.

Tani-san is a really great person, very welcoming! She prepared a japanese breakfast every day with many different flavours. You can enjoy your stay in Kyoto to the fullest. The guest house is surrounded by nature and not far from Funaokayama where you can enjoy the view of Kyoto. It is also easily accessible from Kyoto Station from bus.

I really enjoyed the character and charm of this place. It’s an old guesthouse that’s been run by the same family for generations, which made it feel special and authentic. If you want to support local families instead of big hotel chains, this is the perfect spot. My partner and I had a wonderful time, and we’re really glad we gave it a chance.

Tani and the other woman running the guesthouse are the kindest and most friendly women. They were excellent hosts with great customer service. The house was beautiful and very traditional it was a really nice experience. We came in hot one day and she brought us some ice cream and ice tea. I would definitely go back.

Very sweet and kind lady. She mades very delicious and cute breakfast. We felt really comfortable and welcomed. If you’re looking to stay in an authentic japanese guesthouse, this is the perfect place!

A really traditional authentic Japanese style house with a very lovely house owner, Mrs Tani.she made our breakfast very special & all our wishes came true .also very good that we could rent the bikes every day & we loved the bamboo around the house & neighbourhood was also very nice
