Amazing location (the same city bus took us almost everywhere we wanted to go; great markets within 3 mins; short walk to gion), friendly staff, lobby with a microwave, water refills, walkable to most of east kyoto, fair sized room, slightly wider shower/bathtub (which meant we could walk around each other unlike my current hotel in Tokyo), and many more.

This hotel was perfect for its location and had a beautiful reception area. However, the room was very small, which we expected from the photos. It really matched the description. The staff was very friendly!
