The view of our hotel room during our Autumn stay was unbeatable. It is by the river so hearing it flow adds to the relaxing ambiance. The amenities were amazing - we appreciated the free hot packs and the leg and foot relaxing patch that was replaced daily. Staff are warm and friendly - special shout out to Okada for being helpful during our stay.

The staff was amazing and accomdating for English Speaker. Room was large and my unit had a vaulted ceiling which is super rare in Japan. Location was superb, walkable to the main streets of Arashiyama. View from room fantastic. Sound of the waterway below was soothing for me (windows can be closed to muffle sound). Local Onsen was just down the street and was fantastic. Japanese traditional breakfast with coffee available was amazing. I had it for two days and it was superb. Pro Tip: (weather permitting) ask to have breakfast out on the patio for amazing views.

room was spacious and superb view of the bridge. Breakfast was also very delicious. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Arashiyama. We'll back!

Everything’s. The location was stunning and peaceful It was easily accessible by train. The room was comfortable and clean, staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is better than the photo!

Best hotel. Best location. Beautiful view from room window mountains and river. Fresh air . Great Japanese breakfast. Stuff incredibly helpful and nice. All is perfect. Was difficult to leave such a wonderful amazing hotel and area. 🩷🫶⚘️

The arashiyama district is very beautiful and the hotel was calm with great views. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The location was very handy for local sites. The room was comfortable and clean.

The location was excellent. Lovely and peaceful, yet near the river and lovely rushing water. We did not try the breakfast.

Great location, perfect for an early morning visit to the bamboo forest and very beautiful view from hotel room overlooking the river. It was really useful to have a microwave and cutlery provided for eating as restaurants seem to close early. Also the table and chairs in the room was useful for eating. I appreciated the rice crackers and green tea.

The most comfortable beds I've stayed at in Japan (out of 6 other hotels). Location is great for seeing all activities in the Arashiyama area. Staff is very kind. I know some Japanese and they know enough English that communication was not an issue. I think you'd be fine if you only know English and questions are simple.

I spent 2 weeks travelling through Japan and this was my favourite place. The room was lovely , great view , spacious and clean. The staff were all polite and friendly. It's on the other side of the river from the hustle and bustle but still has it's own attractions . A little convenience store is a couple of minutes walk and 5 minute walk to great to the main shopping street.
