The quirky robot entry was the best of the experience but ultimately it began and ended there. Expected more interaction or at least personalised welcome, besides the prerecorded welcome to the hotel. There was no interaction, no connection to it being my birthday on the day we checked out- which is probably the least one could expect from an automated check-in. No request if we would like breakfast. This meant that since we had no reservation we could not eat. High premium to stay in a mediocre room with one pillow per person. Expected more.

Very cute hotel. Very nice location. Was a fun experience having robotic dinosaurs welcome you to the hotel. The lockers in the lobby were also a great touch for the early arrival and the need to store bags until flying out. Just one thing I thought weird was wanting to charge me to use the vacuum cleaner. I wanted to quickly use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum seal my travel bags and the hotel wanted to charge me. Room was very clean, the staff member I did interact with was very helpful. Would definitely return when in Kyoto

Excellent hotel for the location and price! I did not have particularly high expectations as hotels near central train stations in my experience are generally not as nice, but this hotel was so well maintained, clean, with all the basic amenities you need. The room was actually spacious for Japanese standards. Definitely will come back and stay here again. The dino receptionists were a bonus!!

The room is big, well lit and bed is ultra comfortable. Location is opposite Kyoto station. The bathroom has awesome bath tub. Loved the room size. They have storage for bags and keep our luggage for the day after checkout. The robots check you in and out and it's super easy.
