Kazuko “Perfect stay in Kyoto.”
Great value, owner and staff are kind and friendly. They located on the Sanjo street and easy access for many important places. Even they prepared the breakfast. Many different kind of fruits and bread, rice, special homemade miso soup by the owner is amazing! Coffee, tea are free during your stay. The best point is old Japanese style house and the nice owner!!

Ichiro-san was a fantastic and very friendly host who made me feel super welcome! The guest house is spotlessly clean and has plenty of amenities for you to use. The breakfast was great and slightly different each day which I liked. Not many guest houses have a resident dog but Gajyun has Jiro! A very relaxed dog that can be found hanging out in the common areas.

I really enjoyed my stay here, although it was brief. The owners really make you feel comfortable and they are always ready to help. I booked a bed in the dormitory but I don't know why I ended up in a private room for the same price. On the first night I was invited to join the party they hold every friday, which is like a big dinner with all the guests and someone from outside the guesthouse too. Everyone was open for conversation and fun even if not everybody could speak English, we could still lough and have a good time. And the breakfast was always very good! I definitely want to come back when I return to Japan and hopefully being able to speak Japanese!
