Decent sized room. Check in and checkout done by yourself. Kitchen facilities, comfortable futon. Shower was hot and with good pressure. Toilets upstairs were clean. Good heater in the room.

The building is ok the room was small but warm and comfortable. We liked the quiet neighbourhood and the kitchen was good, albeit a bit small when multiple groups were trying to heat things up etc.

Staying at Fujitaya Kyoto was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan! This charming guesthouse perfectly balances traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff at Fujitaya were incredibly kind and attentive, always eager to share local tips and recommendations. Their hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The communal spaces were cozy and encouraged interaction with other travelers, adding to the unique experience. The rooms were spotless and tastefully designed in a traditional style, with comfortable futons and tatami mats. I loved waking up to the serene surroundings. The shared facilities were well-maintained, and the guesthouse provided everything I needed, including free Wi-Fi and bike rentals, which made exploring Kyoto even more enjoyable. Located in a quiet neighborhood, Fujitaya is still conveniently close to Kyoto’s main attractions, with easy access to public transportation. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city while enjoying a peaceful retreat. I can’t recommend Fujitaya Kyoto enough for anyone looking for an authentic and affordable Kyoto experience. I’ll definitely be back!

The location is connected with a good station, the hostel is clean and there is a kitchen when you can cook food, everything was clean
