Close to the bus station, being a hostel and having very few beds the property was very clean. Host was very nice too. The kitchen was full with amenities. Loved the stay here

Very cozy, comfortable and clean. Great to be able to use well equipped kitchenette with complimentary tea or coffee. Shared bathroom/shower was very accessible, and given that it is an onsen town, there was no need to use shower here. The owner seems to be a very conscientious, hard-working person. A quiet but very friendly, patient and welcoming host. Location excellent, being close to both the sights, onsens as well as public transport. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Again, we really appreciated the work ethics and overall attitude of this very nice owner!! Much thanks.

The place was clean and well-equipped. There were a lot of shop lots and eateries nearby. An ashiyu, aka foot bath was also in close proximity.

Great location very close to the town's central bus exchange and the best onsen in town! Had our own room, tatami mats, shoji sliding doors, just a magic authentic Japanese homestay on a budget. Lovely hostess, discrete and caring.

We had a beautiful traditional Japanese style room that was very comfortable. When we arrived the owner was very kind and gave us a map and a lot of information that was very useful for our visit (he gave us amazing onsen recommendations!). We loved our stay there, we would definitely recommend more than one night in this beautiful town in this cozy hotel

Nice location, very charming typical Japanese house. We were welcomed by the owner, who let us checked in a bit before check in time. He was really helpful and gave us many information bout kusatsu Onsen. The whole house was very clean even tho there's only one bathroom for 6 beds in a dormitory and 3 private rooms of 3 persons max per room. We stayed in the dormitory, it was nice (but it really depends on who's with you). There was space for the luggage and lockers for smaller items. The beds have a bit of privacy so we appreciated. The kitchen is very functional.
