The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Easy self check in, room was small but had everything we needed, bed was comfortable. If you don’t have too high expectations, then it’s definitely good value for money.

Very nice place, very nice room and localisation is also great - all interesting pieces in Kuching within a walking distance. Very good communication with the owner, we were fully informed about check in, check out, and asked several times if everything is OK. Also price was very reasonable. Definitely this place is worth recommending - if we come back to Kuching one day, we will choose The Cottage Stay.

I loved that the price is affordable compare to other hotels where we got so much more benefit from. The staff also very friendly and accommodating where they respect our privacy while still providing the best quality of services. Will definitely stay here again soon!

The staff via the WhatsApp is very nice and flexible to adjust to the mixup I had with the dates. Easy to access and understand.

Room was big enough, location pretty quiet and close to some food options although around 10-15 minutes walk to the bridge/main part of town. There is a nice lake nearby, with a good running walking track around it.
