The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. The name on the credit card used for the booking should correspond to the guest staying at the property. For reservations made by a third party, you will need to complete an authorisation form and present a copy of the person's ID and credit card.Starting 1st January 2025 onwards, Heritage Charges (Caj Warisan) of RM6 are applicable during Prestigious Events, like Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA), Le Tour De Langkawi, Ironman, and Oceanman Malaysia.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

We had everything we needed and the hospitality is amazing, daily buffet breakfast and different menu everyday. We stayed for 9 days and it was worth it 😊

breakfast is good spc parathas, room location is good get the city view+ mountains early morning its look amazing location is perfect if you are with kids restaurants and supermarket is near by all hotel staff is very humble and down to earth lady on the reception helped so much. island hoping and mangrove tours can be booked from the receptions. kids enjoyed too much in the pool they don't wana come out

Grand Continental Hotel has an excellent staff. They helped me book my flight tickets and provided a comprehensive guide for the Langkawi tour, which was very helpful. The breakfast served at the hotel was good, but the interior felt outdated. Additionally, the hotel’s location might not be ideal for those seeking entertainment, as it is situated in a quiet and peaceful area. Despite this, I would give the staff a 5-star rating for their outstanding cooperation and service.

Breakfast was good. Stay was decent. Duty free shop is very close to the hotel. Island hopping can be arranged from the front desk.

The front desk staffs was very engaging, they even asking me via WhatsApp if I already reach kuah at the jetty terminal. Check in was very swift and they ensure the AC already on in my room once i arrived. The service provided was very commendable. Breakfast buffet spreads was plenty with In house roti canai making at the station. Kudos to the chef.
