What a cultural experience. I really loved the local life where the homestay is located. The owner Soksambath took me to see the sunset twice and then I went swimming in the Mekong with the family my last night. He has a tuk tuk and I booked his services one day to show me around the local life of Kratie, what an experience. I helped peel corn, made noodles, saw some other local foods being made, ate some great curry noodles and enjoyed the countryside drive. I will come back. It is simple accomidations but if that is what you are looking for you will love it here.

Cheap, friendly and a real authentic experience. the owner, Sok is so helpful and will talk to you about local life in the community and what’s around. The accommodation itself is fairly basic so please don’t be expecting the world. separate bathroom and toilet but no hot water but why do you need that in these temperatures. slightly out of town maybe a 15/20minutes walk. we have a motorbike so it wasn’t a problem but Sok told us he would have been more than willing to drop/pick us up from town. it’s ran as a restaurant aswel as a guesthouse/Homestay so there’s no real need to go into town. I paid $2.50 for a evening meal and $2 for breakfast.

The location couldn't be better, in the heart of a small community where you live with the locals. The family couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming, they do everything to ensure that you have a good stay with lots of experiences, delicious food and knowledge about daily life. I enjoyed every bit of my stay and would love to come back.
