We had a great time at the temple and participated to several ceremonies. The common spaces were very clean and the food was delicious :)

I wish I could have stayed longer in the temple! A very authentic experience with the room only being heated by a heat pump. Great location in the middle of all of the attractions. The food experience was also amazing: sitting on a mat in nicely decorated chamber with bamboo walls separating from other members staying in the temple. I also had the chance of bathing in the onsen which was amazing to have it onsite!

This was a fantastic experience. The temple is charming, the monk who explained everything and took us through meditation was lovely. Food was delicious. We had a truly authentic experience and loved every moment of it. Highly recommend.

Our best stay in Japan, an experience we will never forget. The temple itself is a beautiful, peaceful place just a few steps away from Okunoin. Our room was spacious and clean, really comfortable and equipped with everything we needed: yukata and tanzen, towels and toothbrush, tea set; toilets were shared but located in the same corridor. The food was light yet delicious and made us feel full and happy :) The monks have been welcoming and we really apprecciated having the chance to attend the ceremonies and the meditation held in the beautiful main hall; they communicate in english and in the room you can find detailed english information about the activities. We didn't use it because we had other plans but there is also a onsen for the guests. We left Koyasan feeling so serene and wish to be back one day!

an experience one should definitely do in his or her life. warm temple welcome, incredible dinner and breakfast setting, small onsen are already enough. but on top of that you have meditation, prayers, and homa ceremony with the monks. simply unforgettable. thank you.

Location and peacefulness. The intimate morning ceremonies that were very moving. The respectful way the monks made our stay pleasant.

Fantastic experience, great food, nice accommodation and a very beautiful temple. We were able to attend the daily functions of the temple, and ask about the monks life. Meals were fantastic
