The last cable car from Nankai-Gokurakubashi Train Station leaves at 22:42, so you must arrive at the station by then in order to get to the property. Please check the train schedule from Nankai Namba Station to Mt. Koya in advance.To eat dinner at the property, a reservation must be made by 15:00 on the day.Guests arriving after 17:00 should call the hotel directly. Contact information is provided in the booking confirmation.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests must check in by 17:00 to eat dinner at this property. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given.

we had a wonderful stay at the temple with extremely polite monks and staff who prepared us with delicious local delicacies for dinner and breakfast. morning prayers were quite spiritual and we had a pinyin text to read the Sutras along with the priests. Vending machines were really helpful in giving us hot coffee, tea and beer on-site. Japanese garden is very beautiful and has a direct access from the rooms which is really beautiful and relaxing. Room had an attached powder room, toilet and shower with 16-tatami comfortable stay. Tea table comes with the leg heating and the room had a centralised Ventilator, air conditioner and a personal heater which made our stay more comfortable than a hotel or a ryokan. We were able to offer prayers to our ancestors and the priests offered us with lucky charm plates and sacred threads for wristbands. The onsen was hot and really clean and one of the best stays we had in a 3 month long trip to Japan. We would definitely return back to this temple in the future.

World Heritage listing. Able to attend the morning service led by he monks and witness the fire ceremony .

The temple is in a great location in the middle of Koyasan. Check in was easy and staff were nice. Our rooms looked out onto the lovely garden. Room was comfortable and clean. Lodgings were close to Kongōbu-ji and a 15 minute walk to Okunoin Cemetery. We enjoyed the prayer ceremony in the morning.

Interesting stay, definitely an experience. Good for one night to experience traditional stay. Close easy walk to the cemetery.
