Hard to get a booking but able to book one night and able to get own room at last minute due to cancellation. Owner had map of Koyasan with recommendations of what to visit. Breakfast is very nice for extra cost.

The design of the place was really nice and it had a very simple, clean modern feel to it. It was a peaceful place and it was nice warming up next to the log burner. They had free tea and coffee plus they had a vegan option for dinner which was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They had hair conditioner in the shower rooms which was great. They gave good tips and a map of the best places to go. They let me keep my bags there after checkout so i could explore and were helpful regarding bus timetables even after checkout. I would definitely visit again.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, owner has been very helpful arranging restaurant reservations and providing tips. Location is just a few meters from okunoin cemetery, perfect for a nightime or a early morning visit. Sleeping pods were comfortable and private, morning breakfast simple but good. Recommended.

Had a great stay at Kokuu - Ryochi is an amazing host - providing outstanding hospitality. Dinner and breakfast were great. Beds are super comfortable, guaranteeing a solid night sleep
