Centrally located, close to the KSRTC bus stand and commercial areas. Very friendly staff and an informal atmosphere. Rooms are clean and spacious.

A nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable bed, good hot shower, located in the centre but on the side road so away from all the traffic. Over great value.

The location of the hotel is great. Its close to the bus stations but also not too far from the boat jetty. Restaurants and the city center is very close as well. The rooms are spaceous.

Breakfast didn’t match the expectations.Inadequacy of service A little more spread that too with professionalism could be better. Food shall be served hot. Equipment’s should work proper.

I have now stayed at 3 different Kottayam hotels. The other 2 were more expensive and I was worried about whether Daan Orchid would be clean enough since the cost was less. From the time of check in until the time of check out, the staff was very helpful - especially Varun. I was so relieved to find that the hotel and room was very clean with no smoke smell. The AC and fan and TV worked perfectly. The housekeeping staff did a good job and the kitchen has great food. I did not ever go down for breakfast buffet but I did room order and the Sambar is the BEST I've had! I even had to ask for special order for Dal for my son to be made with less oil and spice and they did it perfectly. The room was not only clean but it was also comfortable and I will definitely stay at Daan Orchid on future trips to Kottayam.

Very kind and helpful staff. Arranged and accomodated every request. Even a late hour cleaning. Pretty comfortable. Arranged cabs/autos for our guests. Helpful with all information . Loved the service.
