Hotel Overview

Surrounded by extensive gardens, Schloss Hünigen is a historic castle dating from the 16th century located in the scenic Emmental Valley, a 20-minute drive from Bern and Thun. It offers you modern and historic-style rooms, gourmet cuisine, a spa area, free WiFi and free parking.

Very nice Hotel, a good mix between history and a modern facility. Nice spa (for free!), the dinner had at the retsaurant has been excellent, whorthy of Michelin's stars. The personnel has been very kind and helpful

We loved the design of the hotel, the amenities in the SPA as well as the delicious food for dinner and breakfast. I particularly appreciated that all ingredients are locally sourced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to beautiful nature spots that are worth a visit.

Breakfast was international and the food good. The location adjacent to the railway for rail travellers would be convenient. When we visited Kolfingen roads were under major redevelopment so access was problematical.
