We liked the service. Dev really helped us throughout the stay. And cleaned our room as per our availability. We were also greeted warmly everytime we entered. That was great. The rooms are clean and the setting of the building is great.

I booked the YMCA seacomm Inn for staying from 11 Oct to 13 Oct, 2024. My purpose was to visit puja pandals during Dusshera and my wife wanted to do shopping in Newmarket area. The reception was very warm in the sense that they requested me to check the room before checking in as we were with our daughter of 14 year old and for that they already selected for us a double room with King sized bed. It is basically a building of Yong Mens Christian Association built during 1857( if I am not wrong). Main advantage is it's location very near to Newmarket area( Central Kolkata), Museum, Esplanade/ park street metro on walking distance situated on Chowringhee Road. My family liked their English breakfast ( contains butter toast, poach, sausage, baked beans, tea nicely served in tea pot) their resturant is nicely decorated with nice paintings and wall papers. I was browsing through the reception register, which showed people from Japan, Australia, Bangladesh etc. From reception they informed it is in high demand from Bangladesh visitors.

Old style,very solid building, large room, tv, AC and fan, acceptably clean,, Prepaid breakfast basic dhal, puris and banana and a coffee, I have a suspicion a continental style breakfast which was offered might have been better, also breakfast only served in room not in the dining balcony below. Staff pleasant and helpful.Location equidistant ? Approx 400m between Park St. and Esplanade Metro on a busy street, noise was not an issue, Shower cold during my stay.Surrounded by a busy market numerous dining options, I recommend chicken egg rolls.
