This was our fourth stay at the Sonnet. Clearly, we like the place. I have reviewed the Sonnet on all my previous visits and so there is not much to add. The Sonnet continues to provide good value for money. The location right next to City Centre Mall is great. There is ample parking right outside which is great since parking can often be an issue in Kolkata. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is quite good. We had two rooms with a large double bed, a desk and additional seating. Our room had a large sofa but some rooms have a two-seater couch. I really appreciate the desk since it allows one to do work if one wishes.

The hotel is very comfortable for groups as well as families. Not only is the location very good (walking distance to City Center 1 and central to all facilities in and around Salt Lake); Further, the staff is very courteous and helpful, catering to all needs of guests; Also, the breakfast spread and the taste of food is very good.

The hotel, restaurant, rooms - all were great. The Personnel is really fantastic! Makes you feel comfortable, provides you with all the necessary info and is ready to help at any time (literally, also 4 AM ;-) ) All the amenities you need are there.

Room was pretty decent, though the location is absolutely fantastic. The room rate was a bit steep, but the facilities were decent to boot. Never got enough time to check out the restaurant and fitness centre, though.

This is the third time I stayed at The Sonnet in the last 4 years. Clearly, I like the place. I do not have that much to add to what I wrote in the previous cases. The Sonnet provides excellent value for money. This is not a 5 star facility but the facilities provided are quite adequate. The last time I was there the place was undergoing renovations. But they seem to have been completed. The swimming pool is open and so is the gym. The rooms are decently sized. My room (501) had a very comfortable double bed, a sofa and a large desk, which was excellent for working. The bathroom is not huge but adequate and the water pressure is great. The breakfast buffet (now served again in the ground floor restaurant following renovations) is quite decent from my perspective; it contains most things most people want. The location right next to City Centre Mall is great and there is ample parking right in front. The staff as in pretty much every place I have stayed at were extremely friendly. I ordered room service one night and the focaccia bread chicken sandwich was a very large serving! To put this in context, during this trip I stayed at three different places n Kolkata, Raakjutir (close to Hyatt Regency), the Westin in Newtown and The Sonnet.
