The fine print
Blue Bay Koh Yao Yai is situated 18 kilometers east of Phuket, and 25 kilometers west of Krabi. Ideally, the sea transit time is 30 minutes by speedboat from Phuket. Please note the time can vary depending on the water transportation choice, weather conditions and tide level. Public speedboat transfers arrive at the island pier. Passengers on the blue bay speedboat will arrive directly to the resort beach, weather and tide levels permitting. If you arrive at low tide, the boat with stop at the local pier where our Resort Host will greet you and transport you to the resort.Transportation / Public Speedboat

We loved our stay here. Blue Bay has so much character. The gardens are well maintained. There is a relaxed vibe throughout the resort. You just feel at ease. Rooms are clean and you can dive from your room to the pool. I saw a lot of reviews saying there were only tourists from China which is not the case. Not that we would mind but I do want to mention that this is not true. We met people of all kind of ethnicities Also breakfast wasn’t as bad as the reviews say. There were a lot of options and it was quite okay! I do have a little bit of advice: it would be nice if the room cleaning wash off the glasses/coffeecups or replace them everyday with new ones. However, not a dealbreaker. It is almost fully renovated and after they will renovated the last parts of the resort they should ask a lot more (in my opinion). Also location is great. Enough restaurants, scooter/car rentals nearby and you can walk right to the beach. Would recommend!

Everything. Large room, comfortable mattresses, daily cleaning, access to the pool, beautiful hotel area. Delicious breakfast with a wide selection of Asian and European options (omelette and scrambled eggs on request). Nice English-speaking staff. Possibility to borrow a canoe for free. Beautiful beach with sunbeds. Beautiful hotel for a reasonable price on a beautiful island (we recommend a scooter) we hope to come back someday.

Everything. Rooms spotless a d big. Pool outside rooms were awesome. Pink flamingos and transparent canoes in pool were a lovely fun touch. Staff and breakfast amazing! Couldn't fault it.

We loved the setting the resort was in so close to the beach. The room Was amazing with doors straight out to a sitting areas and the pool which was great. The cleaning staff were amazing and came every day without fail and the staff on reception were very helpful with any queries you may have. Would definitely stay here again.

Great room with pool access, good shower and a very big bed maybe a little bit too hard. The only thing is that it is a little bit tricky to get out of the pool. Great breakfast with everything! We are coming back!

The best thing is the pool, which you can enter directly from the room. The room is large, sufficiently equipped. The whole area is very nice, located right on the beach. Right next to it is a street where you can find a shop and all the necessary services (laundry, scooter rental, doctor, office offering trips and boat transfers, restaurants).
